Once somebody has an item (Such as a Chaos Emerald) Only one person can have a Chaos Emerald, unless they permit someone else to let them have it.

Unless it is on Super Smash Brothers (Such as a pokeball) You have to have an item from your game. (Like Sonic can have a pokeball, and a Chaos Emerald. However, say...Snake, Snake can't have a Chaos Emerald, but he can have a pokeball)
